If We Could Optimize Our Personal Lives As Effectively As Our Working Lives We Would Be Happier
What proportion of our personal time do we waste, deciding what we should be doing? How much more do we waste, waiting for someone else who has some influence over our personal time? If we added up these hours, it would amount to a considerable time every week, I am sure.
When we think of our working lives, would we waste this number of hours and still be able to complete all our work? Most possibly not! Whether we Work From Home, in an office, a shop, a factory, wherever it is, we ensure that every hour counts for something. We often create lists of duties which need to be done, then mark them off as we work through them, adding extra duties to the list and re-prioritizing as necessary.
Everybody with an Internet Business wants to optimize their web site to be certain that they get at least their expected share of Online Jobs and this is one of their key roles. They may get in a team of consultants to aid with this work and will know that it has been worthwhile if their Online Jobs go up.
Could we do something similar in our family lives, therefore? Maybe if we have 30 minutes to kill before we are going to meet others, we could use that time emptying rubbish bins, putting on a load of washing, cleaning the bathroom. This way, that half an hour has been effectively optimized. We are not merely walking around the home waiting for the time to come when we can leave, we have done one of our many duties.
Maybe we could make a list of jobs which need doing on a regular basis, with target times for how long we think each one would take. Then, if we find ourselves with just a little time on our hands, we could look at our list and tick off one or two tasks, therefore optimizing our personal time as efficiently as our working time.
Because the Internet Business has become more stable over recent years, there are many areas where we could Work From Home, doing tasks which at one time would have necessitated us to visit different businesses. Less than an hour on the pc and we could have our weekly grocery shopping done and what is more delivered to our door for a reasonable fee, at a time which suits us. Searching for a CD for a young niece or nephew, where there is no knowledge of the band can become a much more simple task using internet facilities. These and many other changes can help to optimize our family lives.
Some people may think that going to such levels to optimize their personal time is unnecessary, and for some this may be true. However, as an exercise, just to see what could change over a week and how much more free and useable time we could make, it may be a worthwhile one. We can then decide whether it is something we would wish to do long term, or whether we would really rather just continue as we always have. Only we can know what will work for us and how we should best go about using our personal time.
