I and my friend Alex can be considered to be the real kite maniacs. I think you know well what a kite is. I hope that my explanation is simple enough to understand this properly. We are greatly excited by the opportunity to make our kites by ourselves. But there’s another thing which is to our liking too. You can see it right now if you wish. Just look straight in front of you and you’ll be able to see that we are currently on the hillside flying our kites. Unfortunately we haven’t got an opportunity to do it every day because if we manage to do this every day we won’t be able to do another pleasant thing. I mean making kites. As for me I don’t know what process is more attractive for me. But I know for sure that I can’t live both without making and flying our kites.
I should inform you that there are certain distinguishing things between me and Alex. It’s closely connected with a particular technology of making our kites. I prefer making paper kites. I like that it’s very easy to work with paper. This stuff is extremely flexible and easy to use. I even can teach someone to make kites using paper.
On the contrary Alex is fond of making kites covered with cloth. Sometimes we can even have a real quarrel because of this. Alex always tries to convince me that cloth kites are stronger and they seem to have a better performance in the air. But as for me I can’t agree with this statement because to my mind my paper kites have better rate of climb due to their traditional lighter weight.
Sometimes a lot of things can coincide at the same time. For example in a couple of days I’ll be invited to Alex’s 1st anniversary. He has managed to survive after one year of marriage. It’s a great event for him. Folks usually tell that one should bring something made of paper for the 1st anniversary as a gift. The 1st anniversary is called sometimes “paper anniversary”. So I can have an excellent opportunity to present my best paper covered kite to Alex and his young beautiful wife. So I’m right that some things can luckily coincide sometimes. I’m sure that both Alex and his wife will be greatly pleased with this beautiful flying anniversary gift presented by me.
