Getting My New Wicca Supply Store Up Off The Ground

So I’ve been working hard these last few months on getting all the final plans together for the opening day of my new Wicca Supplies boutique in the city. We’ve already had the website taking orders for a couple months now, and business has been pretty good taking into account what a brief period the site has been online.

For the brick-and-mortar Wiccan supply shop, we are going to be concentrating less on books and candles and things of that sort than on lifestyle items. The majority of what we are anticipating to stock in the boutique are things like Wiccan clothing, but we’ll also carry some witchcraft supplies. There’s a lot of it that sells to the older and more established members of the Wiccan community and also some really sexy and youthful clothes that cater more to the teen witches. There will also be pretty jewelry with all kinds of precious and semi-prescious stones, each with nice gift cards that tell you the special significance of the stones in it. I probably won’t be stocking much in the way of books, because I feel like the margins are not high enough on them and that occult books don’t sell as well as I wish they did, but I do think that we’ll have a reasonable selection of some of our favorites.

I’m also thinking that we will definitely try to make just one or two shelves of your basic witchcraft gear, as much for decoration as for any other reason, and I will put some funky Wicca decorations around the place and incense and candles going and things like that. I’ve got this idea of the store in my mind’s eye that I really hope I can make a reality when bringing it all together since if I can it will be a really great place to work at and earn a living. I’m also anticipating having an chance to meet more folks in the nearby Wicca community too, since we have not met that many of them since we moved out to the city and I’ve so far found the folks within this community to be very welcoming.
