The Best Information On Cnc Plasma Cutting And Tips For Cnc Plasma Projects
Thursday, October 30th, 2008 by wwwThe plasma arc cutter process has been in existence for over 50 years and was created during World War II. At that time the government needed a welding process that would weld together aircraft parts in a better way than what they were using. This process used inert gas that acted as a barrier to protect an electric arc that stopped oxidation from forming on the weld.
As this process was improved over time, people experimented with the openings in the arc to see how they could create the best way for the process to be done. It was also found that if the opening where the inert gas passed through was restricted it would make a hotter flame. On the other hand, if the opening was made smaller, they could also speed up the flow.
All of this experimentation led to the development of a plasma-arc cutting process and this process began to be used on a commercial basis in the early 1960s. However, it was a very expensive process for many businesses to take on.
Today, the process has improved dramatically and there are even CNC Plasma that are portable; some models even have air compressors build in for a fuller portability. Many are smaller and are able to cut sheet metal as their primary work but others can output a lot more in voltage and in work. Also as the CNC plasma cutter was created the process could be totally automated; all an operator has to do is key in how they want the plasma cutter to cut and it does the cut perfectly every time.
CNC Plasma come in a variety of sizes but they all basically work the same way. The process sends a gas that is pressurized through a channel. The gas could be argon, oxygen or nitrogen that is sent through this channel. Inside the channel is an electrode that is negatively charged. When power is applied to the electrode and the tip of the plasma cutter is touch to the metal, it creates a full circuit.
At this point this circuit makes a high powered spark that goes through the channel; the gas is heated to a very high heat called the fourth state of matter. When this happens a direct stream of plasma turns the metal into molten slag. What this means is that you have a very high heat and a very fast moving beam of light that hits the metal.
The plasma is what makes the electrical current and this power supply keeps working until the circuit between the electrode and the power supply is broken. Also the cutter nozzle has channels in it so that it can continue to create a consistent flow of shielding gas. This also allows the plasma beam to stay consistent on the metal to be melted.
Some CNC Plasma have robotic arms that do the work. The point to having this in the CNC mode is that the process is totally automated and it will continue to work to cut with precision as long as the information is programmed correctly into the computer.

Learn About Cnc Mill Diy Tips And Cnc Miller Basic Information
Thursday, October 30th, 2008 by wwwA machine tool that shapes metal and other types of solid materials is called a CNC Mill machine. A CNC Mill machine does this automatically once a computer sets up the specifications for the machine, it uses a rotating cutter to work like a drill to cut the material.
There is a difference between a drill and a milling machine however. A milling machine will use a cutter that rotates around a spindle axis and the table by which the piece of work is attached. A drill only moves along an axis and can only drill in one direction. A milling machine can move sideways and in and out like a drill.
The CNC milling machine can be controlled evenly by what is put into the computer. Some milling machines work in a way that the table is moved while the cutter stays in one place and rotates. CNC milling machines are digitally automated but other milling machines can be mechanically automated or operated manually.
A CNC milling machine makes the operator’s work easier because it can do a number of operations like panning, rebating, drilling, routing and more. Often a cutting fluid has to be used at the site of the cut because it needs to keep the metal cool and the cut lubricated; also it is used to move the sluice out of the way.
In CNC milling you will have a block of material that will be cut through by a rotating tool attached to the machine. You can actually move the piece in three dimensions all together so that you get the cut and shape that you want.
An operator can produce many different shapes with a CNC Mill machine. For instance, if you have a 2D shape with an intricate pattern you can program the machine to do this pattern and repeat it as needed. The machine will also do 3D shapes, do different types of punches and even use a laser (usually a CNC Plasma Cutter).
Most metals and hard plastics are the best materials to use with a CNC milling machine because they can withstand the rigors of how the machine cuts. Softer materials are not able to stand up to the pressure of the process.
The CNC milling machine is best used when you need a short run of materials to be produced. This process also needs only a software program to do the tooling and some type of jig to hold the work down while it is being cut. The machine is programmed using G-Codes for more precision.
Today, CNC milling machines are being produced that can do a variety of things. As an example, Datron Dynamics sells a CNC milling machine that does all of the milling needs but also does industrial engraving. This machine can engrave on most metals including
Aluminum, graphite and stainless steel, but it can also engrave on ceramics and plastics.
The CNC Milling machine is a versatile machine and it can create many different parts while saving the company and the operator time and money.

Get The Best Information On Cnc Router And Cnc Wood Routing
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 by wwwMany people say that a CNC Routers is the best tool they have in their shop. One of the reasons why is because it is such a versatile machine and it cuts the time it takes to cut and prepare things down.
CNC Routers are machines that work in different directions. They can work in these directions simultaneously to develop patterns and shapes that the operator would take a long time to do by hand. The CNC Router moves along an axis to cut front to back, left to right or up and down.
One of the things that you will have to know as an operator of this machine is basic CAD software because this is what it uses to create the work. It is flexible enough that you can create the program you want at your own PC or through using the computer on the machine.
What you do with the CAD Software is to create files that you can put into the computer to show the Router the exact moves you want it to make. This allows you do pretty much whatever you want with it.
How A CNC Routers Works
The CNC Router is very easy to run once you have the software in place. All you have to do is take the material you are using and place it on the table where you have the machine. You hold it in place and then allow the router to do the work, following the specifications you put into the computer.
You don’t have to worry about getting dust in your lungs because there is a dust hood on the machine that collects any debris or dust that comes off the material so that the air is free of any materials that may be harmful to the individual.
The router has motors that actually help drive the system on its axes to make the cuts in all the directions. The drive system is important to the machine because the better is it the higher the quality you will have in your routing. The CNC router bits are actually controlled by a spindle and these come in several different shapes and sizes like you would find if you were using a power tool with drill bits.
It is important to note that whenever you are operating any machine you have to think about safety first and this is true of using a CNC Router. Although the machine comes with guards that can stop your hands from getting hurt while feeding materials, you should also use common sense when operating the machine. There is a system of stop buttons on various parts of the machine as well. However, you should make sure just as an added protection to wear gloves and sound blocking materials to avoid accidents.
The CNC Routers is economical too because once you program it you don’t have to watch over it. Instead, you can go do other work or take a break while it does the work for you. It also opens up the chance to do projects that used to require a team of people to do.

Voip Providers - Giving You Excellent Value
Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 by wwwTelephones occupy a higher plane in the scheme of modern telecommunications technology. One of the most important modes of remote communications, it presents people with a convenient and easy way to touch base with anyone who is not with them. Because of its importance, almost every home in the United States owns at least one line, while there is always a phone ringing in offices and businesses at any time of the day.
A newer, but still equally vital, communications channel is the Internet. Developed in the second half of the 20th century, its usage has caught wildfire in the last couple of years, effectively breaking some of the long-held traditions of doing things. E-mails and instant messaging (or chatting) are used by top-level executives and rank and file employees. The Internet is also heavily used for sharing files, research, on-line shopping, and entertainment purposes.
Its primary purpose, however, is still communication. A few years ago, the Internet-based phone service called Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) became a huge thing in the market. Considered a breakthrough in the communications technology, it has since won over subscribers and customers looking for an affordable way of connecting with friends and family, and of conducting business. Some people have even cut their telephone lines and shifted to VoIP.
VoIP is popular because it works just like your conventional telephone. However, VOIP relies on the Internet to transmit and receive audio data, in the process converting your voice digital audio data. This means that you will receive and transmit clearer digital audio data at a much faster rate.
The fact that it uses the Internet to transfer and receive digital data, makes VOIP calls much cheaper than the conventional landline phone calls. With the landline phone, a five-minute call can cost a lot of money. Internet voice calls of the same duration costs a fraction of the landline charges. Some VoIP providers even offer free long distance and overseas call.
Besides free phone calls, VOIP Providers usually throw in extra phone features, such as three-way calling, caller ID, audio conferencing, video conferencing, call waiting and return call, in the package. Traditional phone companies also offer these services, albeit, with extra cost.
This is why many VoIP service providers today are now offering a trial period, usually 30 days, for clients to test the quality of their services. If you are not satisfied with their services, you can simply inform your service provider that you are no longer interested in using their services. If you do this within the trial period, you will be refunded.
With many providers offering a trial period (usually 30 days), you may now test the quality of their services. If you are not satisfied, you can simply inform the company that you are no longer interested to use their services. If you do this within the trial period, you will be refunded.
Here are some things that can guide you in choosing the right provider. Look for one that offers maximum benefits to their clients, including free ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter), free or low cost IP phones, among other things.
By getting the best VoIP service provider, you can be sure that you can definitely benefit a lot and get great value for your money.

Tom Tom Gps Navigation
Sunday, October 26th, 2008 by wwwgarmin gps began in 1991 as Palmtop, a business to develop applications for the first handheld computers. Initially those applications were business oriented, but soon individuals wanted personal organizers to keep track of their fast paced lives. The company then began to develop games, dictionaries, personal finance products and route planners for PDA’s (personal digital assistants). As the demand for these applications grew globally, specifically after the launch of the successful Palm Pilot, the handheld market expanded rapidly and Microsoft also got into the game. Palmtop developed applications for all these units.
TomTom 720 is an extension of the tom tom line that we can expect to see in future. It adorns lot of specifications to the model being thinner and faster. It has a nicer screen than many pervious models, also it hosts new features that make the 720 an important device.
The Tom Tom GPS looks like the ONE XL, but a bit thinner than the ONE XL, so it is extremely bright and very easy to read. The screen doesn’t fade when viewed from very wide and very high angles like other screens. The screen is 4.3 inches and runs at 480×272 pixels and performs very well in bright sunlight.
On the top is the power button, and on the back are the speakers and a newly designed way for the mount to connect. SiRFstarIII chipset makes for very fast signal acquisition, which can stay in environments like urban gullies that are tough for older chipsets. The maps of the USA and Canada come pre-installed on 2 GB of internal flash memory. So the SD slot remains free to add more maps or to install MP3 files for the music player for that matter. Bluetooth for data connectivity as well as hands free calling can be found under hood. There is also an FM transmitter to pipe the music into the much better audio system in your vehicle.
If your Garmin GPS device was sitting on a store shelf while a map update was taking place you can upgrade to the latest map within that 30 day period by going to the website.
The TomTom GO 720 is the first TomTom device to feature their new version 7 application. When navigating to an address, you are now prompted for the state, first and independently of the city. A current street name field has been added to the primary interface. Brand logos for certain POIs are now displayed on the map which they call “brand icons”. The 720 produced much faster routes and a faster interface than offered in the ONE and ONE XL devices. multi destination routing is available through the TomTom Itinerary Planning feature.
TomTom is doing a lot on accentuating new safety features in version 7. There is a new ‘Help me!’ for help of getting specific information about your current location. Now you can search the nearest car repair facility, hospital, police station, pharmacy, fire station etc, etc more easily. To add more hiding options while driving, suggests breaks on long drives, warns on over the speed limit, or when you are near a school or church. Safe option to read aloud incoming SMS (text) messages using a combination of text-to-speech and speech recognition technology is like an icing on cake.
The 720 also makes wide leaps towards user customization. through custom vehicle icons, You can now pick a different type of car to use in your display or even can create it. create your own voice prompts. viewing of certain document file formats.
TomTom Go 720 has created buzz in the industry than any other recently announced device.

Automotive Gps Units
Thursday, October 23rd, 2008 by wwwAs with most gadgets new models of the same device are always being released. The Garmin Street Pilot GPS line has released their 7200 model which is supposed to be the latest, greatest thing in the world of GPS. The question is-is the GPS Navigation better than the earlier models?
The Features:
• The largest display screen yet at a whopping 7 inches.
• Text to voice command calls out driving directions and gives you a choice of voices.
• Auto calculates routes to any destination.
• Comes equipped with a built in A/V connector which allows you to hook up to a portable DVD player.
• Connects to either a Clear Channel or XM channel for up to the minute traffic and weather reports.
• Has a built in MP3 player and audio book player for driving entertainment.
A Very Entertaining GPS
This version of the Handheld GPS Units comes with many new bells and whistles. You can easily drag and drop music from your computer to your 7200 GPS without the need for extra software. Listening to audio books is also an option-great for long commutes or even longer road trips when regular radio stations are not available.
You also have the ability to hook up a portable DVD player and entertain those kids so you don’t have to hear “Are we there yet?” as much. All in all the Garmin Company has done a great job of adding extra entertainment features but these are all extras. When you’re buying a GPS for driving purposes does this newer and more expensive model really earn its keep?
So does it Get You There?
Most customers of this latest GPS Navigation say the driving directions are very accurate. They love the huge screen which makes reading the displayed maps very easy. The added bonus of being able to pick up traffic and driving related weather conditions via two radio station options (Clear Channel or XM satellite) seems to be a real winner with the users of the 7200 Garmin GPS.
This model also lets you customize your driving routes to avoid certain areas or roads and gets you out of traffic jams en route with a quick recalculation. Most people who purchased this unit also rave about the model’s easy plug and play abilities. Simply mount this gadget to your dashboard, turn it on and you’re ready to start plotting your first driving route.
The Downside
Every gadget has its flaws and this model of the Garmin Street Pilot GPS is no exception. The most common complaints where that this model does not display street names on the displayed map like other, slightly older models do. This can be tricky if you want to plot a new route on the go and do not know what street you’re currently on. On the same note, some users claimed that unless you were driving on a major freeway this Garmin GPS system did not announce the names of the exit routes available.
There were also a few complaints about the mounting hardware that hold the Garmin Street Pilot 7200 in place. The hardware has to be permanently mounted to the dashboard which didn’t go over well with some. Yet others claimed they liked the mounting system and that the Garmin was easy to put in and take out of the mounting system, making it very portable. So it depends on if a permanent attachment to your dashboard bothers you or not.
The Bottom Line
Overall if you’re looking for a GPS that does more than just tell you where to go this is probably the unit for you. Alternately, if viewing street names on your maps is important to you then you may want to skip this newest version of the Garmin Street Pilot and instead try the Magellan Maestro 3200. It does not have all the extras as the Garmin does but it does show all street names and is less expensive.

Voip - The Decision Of Practical Companies
Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 by wwwMany businesses are looking for VOIP. This article will discuss some of the basics.
Communication is key to running a successful business venture. An organization which has an effective communication channel in place runs like a well-oiled machine – efficiently meeting clients’ needs as well as the challenges that will crop up along the way. This it accomplishes by ensuring that right information cascades to the appropriate employees.
Also, aside from the internal communication matters of your business venture, you also have to satisfy good communication channel outside the walls of your organization, particularly with your suppliers, business partners and associates, and your clientele to establish your business as one of the successful entrepreneurial organizations in the business world. Thus, you cannot take for granted the capability of communication in making your business venture a success.
Business communication is all about effective interaction within and outside the walls of your business organization. For instance, the marketing and production departments of your company need to work hand in hand in order to come up with an effective marketing strategy for product and service delivery to the public. At the same time, the hierarchy of your business organization (you, being the overall manager and some of your marketing advisers) needs to communicate with the public you are targeting to sell your products or services through advertising companies and business associates.
A few years ago, a new phone system has been gaining the attention of entrepreneurs everywhere. The VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), a sophisticated, highly efficient and cost effective tool of phone communications is now the current rage among business people who are looking to streamline their expenses without compromising quality.
Just like your regular telephone, but…
VoIP works like your regular phone and mobile phone units, only it relies on high-speed broadband Internet connection in transmitting and receiving data (voice, in this case). The wider coverage of Internet nowadays as well as the reliability of the system in terms of transmitting data makes VoIP a practical choice for entrepreneurs.
What seals the deal for business people is the fact that VoIP is probably one of the most cost-effective business communication solutions available today. Most VoIP service providers charge voice call rates at costs 40 to 60 percent lower than the traditional voice calls.
This means that if you are maintaining five different telephone lines and your average bill for each line is about $300, you save as much as $180 for each VoIP connection. Some service providers do not even charge you anything.
Other benefits of VoIP system:
It contains built-in functions useful for your communication needs, such as voice mail, call routing, and call waiting. Most of these call features are also available in regular telephone lines but with additional cost. With the VoIP package, these are offered for free.
VOIP service is flexible, giving you the power to adjust the system as the need arises. For instance, if you need more VoIP lines, you do not have to reapply for another line (which is the case with telephone and mobile phone lines). Instead, you only need to upgrade your existing VoIP subscription for a minimal cost.
VoIP is not just a simple product. It is an effective business communication solution to maintain harmonious relationship within and outside the walls of your corporate organization. You will not regret-instead, you will be thankful you have a VoIP as your primary communication tool for your business venture.

Rc Scale Planes - Help With Rc Model Jet Planes
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 by wwwWhilst there is a wide range of different rc scale planes, the rather helpful thing about model planes is that they are clearly distinguishable into different categories, models of planes which are best suited for novices and hobbyists are clearly set apart from those types best suited for experts. rc model jet airplanes are the top at the model plane range, premium in terms of their quality, cost, and level of skill required to successfully operate them.
RC model jet airplanes are made of much more sturdy and durable materials and typically are constructed using fibre glass, carbon fibre, and it should ne noted that such models are very very expensive, with the high costs only matched by the steep learning curve required to successfully operate them. The jet plane models are then supported by means of a wooden frame, which acts as the “skeleton” for the plane, keeping it firm and sturdy.
One of the reasons that they are so demanding on the skills and technical ability of the pilot is that these models have been reported to reach speeds in excess of 200 mph, and that with the most “basic” of rc model jet airplanes, a level of speed that will require tremendous amounts of skill, precision and concentration. Given the powerful nature of the rc model jet airplanes, the US government has outlawed their use within certain specified areas such as residential areas.
The reason as to why the rc model jet airplanes are so powerful lies within their engine. The typically use a micro turbine or ducted fan in order to more effectively power them, and such engines are actually a scaled down version of the types found in commercial aircraft, which should hopefully make more evident the phenomenal power these rc model jet airplanes have. An average turbine aircraft will cost between $5000-$20,000 and many manufactures sell airframes such as Yellow Aircraft and Skymasters, which are viewed as the premium brands among the jet plane models. Please note that whilst there are electrical models of these planes, the vast majority make use of Kevlar fuel tanks which make use of kerosene which burns for only a matter of seconds in order to give the plane that extra degree of power for lift off.
Suffice to say they are best left to experts, and are not a glorified toy!

Robocrush Releases Their First Set Of Pre-upgrade Data.
Tuesday, October 7th, 2008 by wwwHaving completed initial the emerging organization RoboCrush has put out their first round of production data. Even though people are saying that the the published data has little meaning the that it’s been presented Robocrush claims the publication of the data is evidence that progress is being made. Whether the followers actually are paying attention right now is dubious
A decision like this is often a difficult one. The risk is that you will publish too much or too little and the upside is that a company show real progress as a means of building buzz about their business. All situations have unique variables hence it doesn’t make sense to give a blanket rule about what the best course is for a company. In general though many emerging technological companies prefer to be cautious with their data.
In some ways then this could be construed as a bold statement by RoboCrush. Needless to say it may very well be a red herring to throw off the competition. So although the released information is almost certainly fine it still may not mirror the actual progress the company is making.
As you might recall other companies people were sure were going to launch the next big thing quite often quickly disappeared Will this be the destiny of RoboCrush? Only time will tell.

Basic Motion Types In A Cnc Machine
Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 by wwwA Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine may have more than one motion type that it uses, but there are three most common motion types that are easy to remember. These are the Rapid Motion, the Straight Line Motion, and the Circular Motion.
Basic Motion Types in a CNC Machine
All of these motion types may seem different but they share two things in common, which would be that they are all modal and the endpoint of each motion is specified in motion command. By being modal it means that the motion type would be in effect until changed otherwise.
3 common motion types:
1.)Rapid Motion Type
Rapid motion type is also called Positioning. The way this motion type is used is through utilizing the fastest rate possible of the command motion of the machine. Example uses of rapid motion are moving to clear obstructions, placing cutting tools to and from the desired position, and any program that provides non-cutting in their schemes.
The command that is usually programmed to a CNC machine is G00 because in this command, the end point for the rapid motion would be specified.
The CNC machine, with most controls given, will be able to move as fast as possible in all commanded axes. In the case of rapid motion, one axis may be able to reach its end point before other axes. Straight line movement will not occur with type of rapid command function and the programmer of the machine must take into account that there are no obstructions to avoid. Straight line motion will happen even during rapid motion commands when done with other controls.
2.)Straight Line Motion
This type of motion would allow the programmer of the machine to command perfectly straight line movements within the machine. Unlike the rapid motion type, the straight line motion would allow the programmer to vary the rate of the motion or feed rate to be used during the movement. Examples of using straight line motion would be turning a straight diameter, taper, when milling straight surfaces, and when drilling for this is because these examples require straight cutting movement.
The common word to specify a straight line motion into a machine would be G01, for within this command the programmer will include the preferred end point within each of the axes.
3.)Circular Motion
This motion type would cause the machine to move in the direction of a circular path and is used to generate the radii in machining. When talking about points on circular motion feed rate, it is equal to that of straight line motion.
Vital Component of CNC: CAM
Other than that of straight line motion and rapid motion, there are two G codes that are commonly used when programming a circular motion into a machine. These are G02 and G03. G02 is used when the programmer desires a clockwise motion into the machine while G03 is used to make an anti-clockwise motion. To know which of the commands to use, the programmer must view the movement with the same perspective as to what the motion of the machine will be, may it be clockwise or anti-clockwise. More on The CNC Family.
