How to Plan a Small Wedding
Friday, May 11th, 2007 by wwwHave a small wedding can be much intimate and memorable than a large wedding. A small wedding will allow to spend more time on that special day with your family and close friends, and it will likely cause you a lot less stress. You’ll find that you will have more time and energy to focus on the little things; when it comes to something as important as a wedding, its the little things that really matter the most.
If you’re only going to invite a few friends and your family, you’ll have more options available to you concerning the details, then you would if you were having a larger affair. With a smaller affair your going to find that you will have a lot more leeway as far as the food is concerned. If your budget permits, you could serve hors d’ourves, set up a buffet, or you could have your wedding catered. If your guest list is really small, you might want to consider opting for a nice quite restaurant.
By not going all out, and having a large wedding, you’ll be able to spend your money of the things that really matter. When it comes to weddings no one ever remembers what they had to eat or drink, it the photos and videos that will last forever. Your going to want to look your best in your wedding gown, because that is going to be captured on film. All of the other expenses your going to incur will be negotiable.
With smaller weddings you have the option of involving your guests in the planing process. Once a couple chose to have each of the guests write a small sentiment on a tablecloth. Several years later the wife embroidered those sentiments on the tablecloth, and today it is a cherished piece of artwork that they intend to pass on to their daughter.
Small intimate weddings, seem to have more personal than their larger counterparts. There’s really no right or wrong answers when it comes to planing a small wedding, but the one thing that is for certain is the fact that you do have more options available to you. You might consider having your wedding at your home, or you might want to have it at the home of a relative or friend. If you have set your wedding date for sometime in the spring, you might want to consider having a garden wedding. You could rent a gazebo that your wedding guests could stand around while you exchange your vows.
Its doesn’t matter if you’re planning a small wedding or a large wedding, because neither one is synonymous with a small or a large budget. Its very easy to have a large wedding on a small budget and vise versa. However, if you are planning a small wedding, you will find that you have a better chance of getting the groom involved in the planning process. When men see lots of hands stirring the pot, they tend to get out of the kitchen as fast as they can. A small wedding give both the Bride and Groom to be a chance to exchange ideas before they exchange vows.

Identity Theft- Are You a Potential Victim?
Saturday, March 31st, 2007 by wwwWhen it comes to identity theft the object is always the same. The thief always uses your personal information, and identifying documents to empty your bank accounts, and charging items to your credit cards that you didn’t authorize. In the after math your going to be left with bad credit or, even worse, you end up filing for bankruptcy. Today there mainly four types of identity theft that take place.
Financial identity theft, with this type of identity theft, the perpetrator uses your credit card to make purchases or pay for services. The thief may also use your Social Security Number to apply for a credit card, gain employment, or get bank loans under your name.
A clever thief will steal your money using stolen checks. Try and imagine the amount of damage the perpetrator can do before you realize what’s going on? He can go shopping, rent a car or an apartment, pay for phone service, and more.
Business identity theft, is similar to the financial identity theft, but this time a business is victimized financially rather than a person. The theft might be perpetrated by a disgruntled employee that still has access to the businesses accounts. Or it simply be that a thief sees an opportunity to commit fraud and takes it.
The perpetrator may or may not have a relationship with the companies existing suppliers, but will use whatever means he can such as, the companies credit line, credit cards, online credit, for monetary or material gain.
Criminal identity theft , is where the perpetrator of this type of identity theft presents your Driver’s License or Social Security card, instead of his, when he is arrested. If he is charged and convicted, a criminal record will be generated under your name.
If he is ever set free, he can easily disappear and continue his criminal activities. If you fall victim to this type of identity theft, you will be left with a criminal record and a shattered reputation that may takes you several years to clear up.
Cloning, this type of identity theft, occurs when a perpetrator uses your personal information to establish a new identity. Perhaps he has a criminal record under his own name. Or he is simply trying to escape from people that might be looking for him, such as law enforcement authorities. This person could be an illegal immigrant or just someone that wants to leave behind debts, bad credit, or an unsavory employment record.
Whatever the case may be, the identity thief will use your information. If you’re lucky if he will start a new life and maintain a clean record. But the second he returns to his old ways it will be your reputation that get tarnished and not his. So take steps to learn how to protect yourself from identity theft.

An Overview of Biomass Energy
Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 by wwwAs fuel prices skyrocket, personal financial situations and entire economies are threatened. Biomass energy has been offered up as a possible solution.
An Overview of Biomass Energy
Energy can be produced in a number of ways. We can burn fossil fuels, use the sun’s light for solar energy, use water for hydroelectric generators or even the heat of the Earth’s core in geothermal energy. One often overlooked source of energy that belongs among all these others is biomass energy. Indeed, President Bush seems particular keen on the subject.
Biomass is biological (natural) material that was once living, or still is living, that can be used to produce energy. For example, lawn clippings, dead trees, unused crops, wood chips and other wood byproducts are all biomass. Even household trash can be considered biomass, as can “landfill gas”, produced when garbage decomposes in landfills.
Biomass energy is produced when these materials are burned as fuel to produce energy. Some biomass materials are burned to produce steam, which is then used with generators to produce energy and heat. Other biomass materials, such as landfill gas, ethanol (produced from corn and other leftover crops) and biodiesel (this fuel is made from leftover animal fats and vegetable oils) can be used to create biomass energy that can even power transportation vehicles.
While biomass energy should be used as frequently as possible, as the biomass fuels are readily available, this type of energy is often overlooked. Biomass energy only accounts for about three percent of the energy used yearly in the United States. Some people feel that using biomass for energy is not safe for the environment, or that they do not want a “garbage” burning power plant in their area. In fact, biomass energy is actually very safe for the environment – the only byproduct is carbon dioxide, which comes from the burning of any fuel. This greenhouse gas does have some harmful properties, but not near as many as the pollutants that are released with the burning of fossil fuels.

Design Your Own Rose Garden
Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 by wwwThe texture and the fullness of the rose is unlike any other flower, and they come in a wide variety of scents and colors that range from a very bright yellow to a dark deep red. It is curious that such a beautiful flower is also equipped with such a thorny stem. A little of the good and the bad from nature I suppose. Roses originally came from the northern hemisphere, and there are over a hundred species growing in mostly temperate regions. Although the rose as been the flower of choice to express ones love for many years now, it was used originally for medicinal purposes in medieval times.
Rose gardens are not only one of the most beautiful types of flower gardens to have, they are without a doubt the most difficult to grow and maintain. This doesn’t mean one should not give it a try, it just means you should research the subject so you are well prepared. One of the biggest challenges you will run into when doing research on rose garden material is finding the time to continue searching. Many of the articles that you uncover on this subject will be useful, but there will be some that won’t be. It is necessary that you find the best resources available on this subject.
Whether to plant red roses, yellow roses, rose vines, rose bushes, or climbing roses are just a few of the choices you will need to make when planning a rose garden. There are many types of roses to plant in your garden so take your time when considering what kind of flowers you want blooming in your garden.

Mobile Phone Clamp Down – Recycling Becoming Mandatory
Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 by wwwWestchester County in New York will soon be one of the first places in the U.S. to require consumers to recycle cel phones. The legislation will be backed up by fines of up to $250 for people caught trashing their old phones.
Jurisdictions across the country have been wrestling with the problem of outdated phones ending up in landfills and being burned in incinerators. The phones contain harmful chemicals and heavy metals like arsenic, zinc, copper and lead.
Many areas of the country have voluntary recycling programs. Most put the onus on cell phone retailers to recycle phones when new ones are purchased. But the New York county law is one of the first that makes it mandatory for consumers to recycle their old phones — and backs it up with fines.
**Similar law in California
California has a similar law which prohibits residents from thowing away cell phones. The same law also bans disposal of common batteries.
Verizon Wireless has been instrumental in providing recycling channels for U.S. cell phone users. Through the program called Verizon Wireless HopeLine the company accepts used cell phones at its retail stores and then refurbishes and resells them.
The proceeds are used to provide cash grants, free air time, and cell phones to non-profit organizations and law enforcement agencies to aid victims of domestic violence.
