I and my friend Alex can be considered to be the real kite maniacs. I think you know well what a kite is. If you hear this world for the first time in your life then I can explain the meaning of this word. A kite is a kind of special frame which is capable to fly through the air with help of the wind. A long and strong string is used to hold this structure during its flight. I should stress that this frame can be covered either with paper or cloth. I hope that my explanation is simple enough to understand this properly. We are greatly excited by the opportunity to make our kites by ourselves. But there’s another thing which is to our liking too. You can see it right now if you wish. Just look straight in front of you and you’ll be able to see that we are currently on the hillside flying our kites. On the contrary Alex is fond of making kites covered with cloth. Sometimes we can even have a real quarrel because of this. Alex always tries to convince me that cloth kites are stronger and they seem to have a better performance in the air. But as for me I can’t agree with this statement because to my mind my paper kites have better rate of climb due to their traditional lighter weight.

Sometimes a lot of things can coincide at the same time. For example in a couple of days I’ll be invited to Alex’s 1st anniversary. He has managed to survive after one year of marriage. It’s a great event for him. Folks usually tell that one should bring something made of paper for the 1st anniversary as a gift. The 1st anniversary is called sometimes “paper anniversary”. So I can have an excellent opportunity to present my best paper covered kite to Alex and his young beautiful wife. So I’m right that some things can luckily coincide sometimes. One wedding I consulted on last winter was amazing. After asking all the correct questions, I discovered that the bride loved the shape of snowflakes and loved white, which is why they were getting married in February in New York. Armed with that bit of knowledge, my mind went wild. Who says that the only thing you can use in a ceremony setting are flowers? Exactly. Why not add some beautiful unique wedding favors.

We went shopping at Michael’s Craft Store (which is just the best place in the world to find anything and everything to make your wedding personal) and found snowflakes which were both white and clear. We bought several dozen of both of them. (They were very inexpensive also, by the way). We then stopped at the local fabric store and purchased (on sale) some lightweight chiffon-like material. The bride was intrigued but had no idea what was going on in my head, but she trusted me. I explained what I was about to do and she agreed.

The day of the wedding came and I and my assistants had worked until late the night before getting the chapel ready. When the guests came in, they all gasped at the beauty of what they saw. The altar area had two large vases of white flowers (many different inexpensive kinds which the florist designed) which were accented in pale lavender, the color of her bridesmaids. One vase was on each side of the altar area. The ceiling was high, so we had to improvise. We hung transparent fish line from the ceiling and pinned it to areas of the material to create an arch over the altar area where the couple would be standing to say their vows. Along the material area after it was hung, we attached the snowflakes, hung by the fishing line. We created different levels of snowflakes to give it dimension. I rented for only $30 for the day, a professional light which had a lavender plastic film over it, to shine from the balcony area, onto the material and snowflakes. Everything glistened. Lastly, I put a couple of tables on the altar covered with the same inexpensive material and topped them with several sizes of lit candles. Voila! A personalized ceremony which expressed the bride and groom perfectly. And it was very inexpensive.

So you see, whatever you like, whatever you desire, bring it to life. Think out of the box and your wedding will express exactly who you are. Then the wedding is not ‘just another wedding’ but one that you can be so proud of and enjoy as you look back on that special time.

I’ve just forgotten to mention that this aircraft is equipped with four machine guns. Before the World War II that was enough for a fighter. But soon soon more powerful 12,7mm machine guns appeared. And a tendency came to replace machine guns with automatic aircraft cannons. You may wonder how I could obtain such detailed knowledge concerning different types of aircrafts. So I’m going to answer. My uncle Sam often provides me with all necessary information concerning aviation.

By the way he’s going to celebrate his anniversary which is closely connected with his retire from aviation 30 years. So I think that you it’s not difficult for you to figure out what sort of anniversary gift I’m going to present to my uncle Sam. Right you are. It follows from this that my future anniversary gift will fully correspond to aviation.
