Tip number one - ensure that you give yourself permission!

If you’re getting ready to enter the dating game once again, prepare yourself for the reactions of your children. You need to anticipate questions and possibly a certain amount of hostility. After all, somebody else could be vying for your time as well from now on. Have an honest and open conversation with the children and don’t be tempted to tell half-truths or even open lies. Explain that mummy needs to be with her new friends, just as they do with theirs. A small amount of time spent in in this kind of preparation will pay substantial dividends in the coming months. Of course, it goes without saying that the more that are ordered, the better the price is. If one thousand are ordered, the price works out at a dollar or just over. If these were sold for just two dollars each, this can literally make hundreds of dollars for the charity in question.

The color denotes the famous ‘first in the race’ shirts that are given out to the winner of each leg on each day. This has now become synonymous with survivors of all kinds. The money raised from selling the wristlets goes directly to the appropriate research institutes, which really need this extra cash.

It is not always necessary to have these wristlets endowed with any kind of message. Sometimes they are worn plain to represent some other reason. Perhaps a group of children are special guests at a function or needed as the entertainment. By giving them each a wristlet to wear, they are not only easily identified they also show where they are supposed to be. Maybe they have free rides in the venue and the band will show that they can use without paying. Whatever the reason, these wristlets surely have a place in the annals of fund raising or something similar.
