More Fitness Tips; How To Stay Healthy And Fit

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 by www

If you strive for fitness, all great fitness tips you get should be read with passion. We all want a good health, and we want to stay fit. Some people find it hard to become fit and healthy. Overweight people are battling to lose pounds with weight loss programs and workouts and after a few weeks they give up and continue their un-healthy lifestyle. Some of them have other bad habits as well, such as smoking and drinking too much alcohol. Other people loves to move; like running, swimming, basketball, tennis, skiing, you name it… they find joy and excitement in activities that bring them health and fitness. I’m concerned about the first group, the quitters.

What can they do to become healthy and fit? If you don’t know I’ll give you the answer right now. You have probably heard it a thousand times so you probably don’t wanna hear it again, but I beg you to read it 30 - thirty - times and memorize it. YOU MUST EXPEND MORE CALORIES THAN YOU CONSUME. Here are a few tips on HOW to do it:

Drink Huge Amounts Of Water

No matter which weight loss diet program you are on, one of the smartest fitness tips I have heard about and practiced is intake of fluids in large amounts. According to experts, water and juices from various kinds of fruit are essential part of good diet. Not only will such liquids help you lose weight, they can also keep you body optimally hydrated. Besides, people who are drinking enough fluids is a day usually have clearer complexion so drink up!

Move Around AS Much AS Possible (and try to make it fun !)

Many will say that moving around is the best fitness tip there is. Simple things like for instance climbing stairs, walking dogs, mowing your lawn, cleaning your house, dancing and other moving activities can burn a lot of calories. What is more engaging about moving around is that you don’t just lose weight but you also relieve your mind and your muscles from stress. According to recent studies, movement is one of the best stress relievers so don’t just sit all day in front of your computer at work. Stand up let’s say every half hour and stretch your legs. Likewise, it would be better for you to take the stairs instead of riding the elevator when you go to the office. If you are following exercise or workout programs keep on with these as well.

Stop Smoking Now

A very momentous fitness tip is for you to quit smoking and concentrate on staying healthy and fit. Tobacco-smoking is definitely bad for the body. Smokers often suffer from different types of diseases including certain types of cancers. If you value your health as well as your life, throw that tobacco away.

Don’t Stress

A lot of us who are under constant pressure tend to eat too much and do not take good care of their bodies. If you are one of them who are constantly too stressed-out to think straight, take a break and appraise the kind of life that you have.

Stay away from Food high in fat

Most of us love it; going to MacDonald or Burger King from time to time. It’s so easy and simple, and cheap. However, your body doesn’t like too much of it. Therefore you should eat as little fat food as possible. If you eat pork, cut off the fat parts of it, chicken is good food and can be prepared in many delicious ways and the same goes for fish - it’s so healthy and the fat you get from fish is the good kind of fat that your body needs. If you combine these foods with high fiber bread, vegetables and fruit and make this a habit, you will lose weight and become healthy.

These are the fitness tips of today.

How Can You Get A Fast Online Degree?

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 by www

Most people know that it is possible to take accredited degrees online, but is it possible to get a fast online degree? Many people today are beginning to realize how advantageous it can be for their careers if they have several degrees to their name. But since we now live in a fast-paced world, majority would rather not spend years trying to get their degrees. Instead they want to get their degrees quickly, and preferably online so all they have to do is get on the Internet from their computers at home. For this reason, many schools began offering online degrees and other accelerated programs. However, before you jump in on the online degree bandwagon, there are a few things you need to know.

First, because of the high demand for fast online degrees as well as other education courses online , many shady companies are trying to cash in on this demand. These companies are more commonly known as degree mills. They offer online college degrees to anyone who is willing to pay. The catch? There aren’t any coursework, so what these degree mills do is basically sell degrees to anyone willing to shell out the dough. These degree mills have ala carte options too. For additional fees, your degree can come with honors, transcripts and even employer verification.

So now you’re probably wondering how these degree mills can give you a degree. They actually give you credit for your “life experience.” There are many legitimate schools that do give credit for life experience but that’s in addition to some sort of coursework that you have to do still in order to get an online college degree. Degree mills, on the other hand, will simply give you all credits on the basis of life experience.

Be aware that many employers don’t accept “degrees” earned from degree mills. Sure, you may have extensive life experience and you may know as much, or even be better, than your degreed co-workers, but a degree from these degree mills just won’t cut it. In fact, it is illegal in some states for employees to use unearned degrees in order to get hired or promoted for a job. Employers look at the practice of getting degrees from degree mills as unethical. Case in point: Laura Callahan, the former deputy chief information officer of the Department of Homeland Security, is one of the many government employees currently under investigation by the Senate for including unearned degrees in their resumes and job applications.

So now you know that buying a degree from degree mills is not only unethical, but can also get you in a whole lot of trouble when you’re found out. This doesn’t mean, however, that you can’t get a fast online degree legitimately. There are reputable and legitimate institutions that offer fast online degrees. It pays to do some checking on schools and other institutions that offer online degrees. Use the following as your guideline:

1. Evaluate the online education programs being offered. Find out the graduation requirements, how many credit the school will grant you for prior learning and what exactly does the school consider as prior learning. Most reputable and legitimate schools that offer fast online degrees will typically give you at most two years’ worth of credit for prior learning. This may or may not include your life experience.

2. Evaluate the institution offering fast online degrees. Is it a reputable school overall? What is the profile of the school’s graduates? Are graduates of the school able to get into graduate schools? For a list of “substandard” schools, check out the database by the State of Oregon: www.osac.state.or.us/oda/unaccredited.

3. Evaluate the teaching staff. Find out what the student/faculty ratio is. What percentage of the teaching staff has doctorate degrees? master’s degrees? In terms of publication, what types of work and how any have members of the faculty published, and where?

4. Check accreditation of the school. You want to get your online degree from an institution that is duly accredited by a legitimate state-approved accreditation body. The Universal Council for Online Education Accreditation (UCOEA) and the Board of Online Universities Accreditation (BOUA) are not considered legitimate accreditation bodies, so keep this in mind if you come across institutions stating they are accredited by either the UCOEA or BOUA. Visit the website of the Council for Higher Education to check a college’s or institution’s accreditation: www.chea.org/institutions.

It is possible to get a fast online degree that is both legitimate and acceptable to current and future employers. You simply need to take the time to thoroughly study each institution and program to make sure you won’t be paying for something you won’t be able to use to advance your career.

So, instead of hoping for the best,it is better to have your condition checked by a doctor If you feel you have a sign of prostate cancer, because if ever you do have prostate cancer, you will surely not want it to spread beyond the prostate gland. You should contact your doctor immediately and schedule a prostate exam. You can also find out just what to expect when you go to the office by doing your research on the internet. On the internet you can find out lots of information in the privacy of your own home.

This is very important because prostate cancer is a risk that you do not want to take and when you see your doctor regularly for prostate exams, you are ensuring that if you should contract prostate cancer you will be treated at the earliest possible stages. The mere thought of prostate cancer is frightening for all men, but the best way to alleviate that fear is to go to the doctor regularly and report any strange symptoms or signs you may have. The signs and symptoms of prostate cancer you may have include difficulty beginning your flow of urine, the feeling of an urgent need to relieve yourself and getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom frequently. There may be other signs such as painful ejaculation or urination , or having a urine flow that is weak or dribbling . sometimes even blood in the urine. Another prostate cancer sign can be persistent pain in your bones, loss of appetite or losing a noticeable amount of weight and experiencing pain your lower back, your hips or your upper thighs. Any problem you may be having as mentioned above can be a sign of prostate cancer or something as simple as a urinary tract infection. Adsense Empire Building Solution

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 by www

Since the arrival of Google’s AdSense program in 2003, one of the simplest and most profitable means to generate an income online has been to setup content sites and to place AdSense Ads on them, and then to drive free traffic from search engines to those content based sites.

This said, many things have changed in the past year. It’s not enough anymore to build a search engine optimised website. And whereas it’s still a large part of it, it’s not enough anymore to simply build third-party links to your website.

The search engine algorithms have changed and continue to change all the time.

Through the years, many “gurus” have come and gone with breakthrough “make cash overnight” “proven” systems to make millions with AdSense. Many never showed us the fortune, and worse, for some reason their “proven” systems didn’t work for long, or never worked at all!

By contrast, Maayan Marzan & Roy Oron, the originators of the AdSense Wealth Empire course, have earned over one million dollars in AdSense earnings in a little over a year, and continue to regularly earn 0K or more each month.

As of 01-Nov-2007, they will release the Fourth Edition of their AdSense Wealth Empire course.

This web-building solution is 100% compatible with search engine rules, and the methods and tools included are so advanced that you have never seen anything like them before:

They have answered our websites’ content problem in a new creative way never revealed before!

They have answered our websites’ inbound links problem in the most potent and natural way possible today!

Their blueprint is designed for you to establish a massive, significant and ongoing web presence - a money making web presence!

Plus - their package is loaded with loads of mind blowing tips and methods which they name - “the profit boosters”.

Visit AdSense-Empire.com to learn more about Maayan Marzan and Roy Oron’s AdSense Wealth Empire package, watch their video and join the pre-notification list for the lauch on 1st Nov. 2007. Only limited quantities of this 4th Edition will be made available.

African Lion Safari - Our Top Lion Destinations

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 by www

An African lion safari is the ultimate adventure holiday and one of the prime attractions in Africa. The king of the beast has always held a fascinating mystique among the human population even despite it’s dangerous nature.

So it will come as a major surprise to many to learn this almost invincible looking animal is in grave danger of being wiped off the face of the planet. Not by any freak of nature but by human intervention.

Yes, you cannot stop progress, even in Africa where more and more land is being made available for farming and urban development with the resultant effect; an encroachment into the natural habitat of the lions.

The problem exists with man and lion trying to occupy the same space - one claiming the land as their own while the other is refusing to budge. The consequences are dire for the lion as they see livestock suddenly grazing on territory which they once ruled. To them, it’s just another addition to the food chain which they’re top of but their big mistake is actually hunting and killing this livestock for food.

So if you are thinking of taking an African lion safari then now is a good time to consider it.

The African lion is finding refuge these days in national reserves where it is safe from human intervention. There are some excellent locations you can visit to see the lion and we have our top four destinations.

Top African Lion Destinations

Our 3 must visit African lion safari areas to see the cats in all their glory include:

- Kenya’s Masai Mara which has the ideal setting for the king of the jungle. Open plains makes viewing and photographing the big cat relatively easy.

- South Africa’s Kruger National Park is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa and it is also home to the African lion. Guided tours will take you to where the big cats congregate however, given their daily ritual of sleeping for extended periods of time, getting glimpses of the flowing mane of a big male can sometimes be hit or miss.

- The Serengeti plains in Tanzania during the wildbeest migration is possibly the best time to visit Africa for a lion safari. There’s plenty of food on offer and the big cats are there in numbers to get their fill.

Chinese Mahjong Prevents Senile Dementia?

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 by www

Will playing Chinese Mahjong aid in preventing and treating Senile Dementia?

So far, there are no effective treatments for Senile Dementia, but only “Vascular Dementia” can be prevented.

Vascular Dementia is similar to stroke, thus, if one wants to prevent Vascular Dementia, one can use stroke prevention methods. Examples are controlling diabetes and blood pressure, reducing the amount of alcohol and tobacco taken, changing living habits for the better and of course, having more physical exercise, etc.

There are two causes of Senile Dementia, one is caused by Alzheimer’s disease and the other by Vascular Dementia.

Alzheimer’s disease caused Dementia is the most common. The other causes include the lack of vitamin B12, endocrine disorders, brain tumors, insufficient thyroid hormones, brain injuries or brain inflammation.

Alzheimer’s disease is actually brain degradation. Some brain cells die which caused the gradually shrinking of the brain but the real cause is yet to be identified.

Fortunately, the causes of Vascular Dementia can be identified. It is similar to stroke and it is caused by minor stroke. Hence, stroke prevention methods can be used. So, playing Chinese Mahjong or Chess will be able to stimulate brain activities. And this will then help in the prevention of stroke and Vascular Dementia up to a certain extent.

As for the Alzheimer’s disease, because of its unknown causes, prevention and treatment are not yet available. But over the years of studies, it is found that the higher the educational level, the lower the possibility of suffering the Alzheimer’s disease. It is a kind of good news to the baby boomers. But there is currently no research on the baby boomers in which how many of them are suffering from the Alzheimer’s disease compared to the rest of people.

Medical researchers are currently still in the underway of researching various activities that aid in reducing the prevalence rate.

A professor from the Chinese University of Hong Kong stated that she has studied the prevalence rate of Alzheimer’s disease among the China, Europe and the United States. She found that the proportion of Chinese patients are the lowest.

In western countries and regions, people above the age of 65 that suffer from Alzheimer’s disease is an estimated 5% while the Chinese is about 4%. She stated that all this is gene related. In our genes, there is one called the Apo gene, which includes Apo E2, E3 and E4. Most people only have Apo E2 and E3. Apo E4 is the cause of Alzheimer’s disease.

Studies have shown that the possibility of the Chinese having Apo E4 is lower than the Westerners. Therefore, the probability of Chinese suffering the Alzheimer’s disease is relatively low.

How To Improve Your Golf Swing With These Steps

Monday, October 29th, 2007 by www

How important is your back swing when trying to improve your golf swing? The problem with many players is they assume by having as big a back lift as they can muster, then they’re going to hit the ball a lot further.

To hit the ball further requires connecting with it in what is known as the sweet spot. - spraying the ball left or right and mis-timing it and

Golf Mechanics

If you want to improve your golf swing then it’s a simple case of applying the right mechanics. Your flexibility will have a lot to do with how far you can wind up your swing.

You can test your flexibility by simply holding your arms out from your side and then bending your elbows to 90 degrees. With your arms raised in this position, try and move your forearms in a backward motion.

If you can bend your forearms back several inches then your flexibility is quite good and you can think a little about lengthening your back swing.

A Shorter Swing

Trying to teach a golfer to shorten their swing will usually be met with some protest. That’s understandable because the aim from the tee shot is to belt the ball as far as you can.

You don’t need to wind up like a windmill to get good distance. As we mentioned earlier, finding that sweet spot when club and ball are in the same zone will generate all the distance you need.

Here’s a tip to improve your golf swing. Shorten it and slow it down. You can gain better control of your swing by simply practicing this technique:

- If you’re a right hander, notice your upper left arm when you begin the back swing motion.

- Once it reaches your chest and feels like it’s hard up against it with no more room to move stop your back lift.

- Once it reaches your chest and feels like it’s hard up against it with no more room to move stop your back lift.

- Once this point is reached it’s a sure signal you cannot swing back any further in the natural motion. If you attempt to do so then you’ll only achieve to put your arms out of alignment with what feels natural and the end result will be a mis-timed shot.

- For left handers, simply make sure it’s your upper right arm which rests on your chest during the back swing.

Practice this technique in slow motion for a while before hitting a ball and then use it on the practice fairway. You’ll soon improve your golf swing and have a much more controlled swing as a result of it.

Pheromones - How To Use Pheromones To Attract Romance In Your Life

Monday, October 29th, 2007 by www

A couple of questions which come up in the discussion of pheromones is do they work and how to use pheromones?

Research in the last twenty years indicates humans naturally produce pheromones and we communicate on a chemical level with each other. If this sounds a little far-fetched to you then you have every right to be a little skeptical.

Was it just a new take on boosting sales of fragrance products or did pheromones really exist and could influence our relationships and sexual preferences?

Whatever the answer the fact remains more and more people are now hearing about them and as a product, they are creating a lot of interest. Not just in the sexual stakes but as a means of creating better relationships in both the employment and business worlds.

Yes, you read correctly, both the business and employment worlds. In other words, for men, if pheromones can be effective in catching the eye of a woman then why wouldn’t they be effective in causing the same type of effect in a business transaction?

So is there an art in knowing how to use pheromones? Here’s a crash course in how to use pheromones:

- simply apply to the skin
- recommended areas include the back of the wrists and ears and the neckline
- if you are using a spray formulation just one spray is required to the intended area and this can last for anyting up to 12 hours
- non-spray formulations will require a light dab of the product onto the mentioned areas
- you can purchase concentrated formulas to add to your favorite cologne or fragrance

That’s it! There really is not a lot of difference in how you use pheromone-enhanced products or regular fragrances.

The question of which product to use is not within the scope of this article however, one tip when shopping for pheromones is to look at those companies who research and manufacture their own product. It’s always a strong sign of a company’s commitment to being in business for the long haul.

If they offer a newsletter then think about signing up as not only will you be kept updated on any new product developments but also be privy to ongoing special deals.

One Lecithin a day helps keep the doctor away

Monday, October 29th, 2007 by www

Produced by the liver when nutrition and diet is adequate, lecithin is a fat like substance needed by every cell in the body. It is in fact an essential component of the cell membranes which would harden if Lecithin wasn’t present in sufficient quantities.

Lecithin acts as a protector of cells oxidation and comprises the protective sheaths surrounding the brain. It plays an intrinsic role in long term memory and helps maintain the nervous system.

Lecithin was celebrated for years as a wonderful food able to fight a diverse number of ailments such as atherosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, liver cirrhosis, gall stones, psoriasis, eczema, scleroderma, anxiety, tremors and brain aging and in 2001 the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) authorized products containing enough of it to bear labels such as “A good source of choline.”

Clinicians also use the more powerful Phosphatidylcholine or its derivative drug Glyceryl-phosphorylcholine to prevent and reverse dementia, improve cognitive function, increase human growth hormone (hGH) release, and to treat brain disorders such as damage from stroke. In fact, it is likely that PC and GPC may also contribute in helping build the membranes of our nerve cells. Finally, it is also thought as a facilitator of electrical transmission in the brain, holding membrane proteins in place, as well as producing the neurotransmitter acetylcholine..

Lecithin is a nutritional supplement that is regarded as safe except for people who are highly allergic to soy. The late Robert Atkins, MD, advised patients not to take large doses of supplemental lecithin without extra vitamin C.

It is my opinion that if all was being equal and perfect in our consumption of food, we would not need to supplement our diet with nutritional supplements. Vitamins, minerals are normally produced in sufficient quantities by our body. The problem arises when these quantities diminish over time creating a disequilibrium which then may cause more serious complications.

Organic Vitamins and nutritional supplements such as Lecithin have been shown to redress this imbalance, thus improving our general health.

How to get around the Islands Of The Philippines

Monday, October 29th, 2007 by www

The Philippines, a country that is comprised of over 7,100 islands and islets, so traveling between points is important and transportation is a relevant factor when going to the different locations within the archipelago. There are various means of transportation you get to where you need to go and some of these are typical and others unique only to the Philippines.

By Air

The main international gateways to the Philippines are Manila, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Laoag and Subic, and all international flights diverge to any of these cities with the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) located in Manila being the primary gateway. This airport is served by over 30 international airlines which fly to and from different cities around the world. In Cebu the Mactan International Airport (MIA) handles regular international flights from Australia, Japan and Singapore in addition to chartered flights from countries like United States and other major countries. The Davao International Airport located in the south of the Philippines handles flights for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. In Central Luzon, the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in Pampanga and Subic Airfield in Zambales service both chartered filghts and cargo planes. To the north of the country, the Laoag International Airport in Ilocos Norte handles regular flights from both Taiwan and Macau.

The country’s national carrier is Philippine Airlines (PAL) considered as “Asia’s First Airline”, and to this day remains as the biggest airline company in Paradise Philipines, with the largest number of international and domestic flights. PAL has routes to over major 14 cities in 8 countries and regularly flies to 41 Philippine destinations outside Manila.

There are other airlines that fly to the domestic skies and these include Air Philippines, South East Asian Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Laoag International Airlines, Asian Spirit Airlines, and Pacific Airways. Each of the airlines services flights to popular tourist destinations. If you are looking for a personalized experience, then there are also chartered flights offered by smaller air companies such as Airspan Corporation (helicopters), A. Soriano Aviation, and Aerolift Philippines (small-to-medium-sized planes)

By Sea

The Philippines being an archipelago of thousands of islands and islets separated by bodies of water, travel by sea is an integral part of the transportation system. A wide range of sea faring options are available which include small ferries to huge cargo vessels, and liners. From the major port of Manila you can take sea trips that can last for a day or two with any of the regular ship lines that ply the sea routes or perhaps take shorter trips with the larger ferries.

For long distance inter-island travel the ferries of major Philippine shipping companies such as WG&A are most prefered and these ferries most often include first class cabins. If it’s a short island hopping transport you need over the seas, then there are the small motorized boats called banka’s which you can make use of to take you between nearby islands and islets. Traveling to the different islands of Paradise Philippines is indeed quite easy with all the options of sea travel available.

By Land

Even in a country with over 7000 islands and islets, moving around by land is easy with the Philippines national highways connecting major islands and the availability of an extensive public transportation system which includes the Jeepney, an exotic form of transportation unique to the Philippines. Other forms of land transportation include the trains, buses, taxis and trikes which make up the main modes of public transportation. In most cities and towns, the calesa, which is a horse powered carriage, provides a more elegant form of traveling but is more commonly used for tourist rides in parks across the nation.

For long distance land travel a railway system locally called Metrotren and run by the Philippine National Railways is [spin]used|ideal[spin]. The route goes as far south as Carmona in Cavite and up north to Mecauayan in Bulacan. The railway system within Metro Manila composes of the Light Rail Transit (LRT), which plies the routes from Caloocan to Baclaran, Pasay City and the Metro Rail Transit which traverses the whole length of the EDSA (Metro Manila’s main highway) and also connects North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City. The MRT passes through all major arteries of Metro Manila including Makati’s financial district.

The fastest way to get around is using the taxis and they travel any routes throughout Metro Manila. The taxis are also a cheap form of travel with a Flag down fare of 20 Pesos (approximately 30 US cents) on the meter. There are also the buses that ply the main roads of cities in Metro Manila in addition to the provincial buses that travel to various tourist spots throughout the country. For short distances you can make use of the trike, with a motorized version locally called a tricycle, or the human powered version of the trike called the pedicab.

Being the Philippines, the undisputed “King of the Road” is the Jeepney, which has become the most common fixture on the roads around the whole nation. The jeepney is the Philippines’ version of American jeep which first appeared in the country after the Japanese occupation and has today become a symbol of nationalistic pride. Any jeepney you will see is covered with colorful designs, with each design or theme different from the other, and uniquely Filipino.
