Your Budget Determines Your Cell Phone Accessories
Monday, April 30th, 2007 by wwwThere are many items that you can purchase to increase your cell phone use and satisfaction. Here is a short list of the must-haves with a few recommendations on where to find many more cell phone accessories for sale.
Usually, an earpiece or headset, long lasting batteries and a car charger are provided at a discount when you purchase your phone. If you plan to replace these items, make sure that your new mobile phone accessories are compatible with your brand of phones. A cell phone is a small, but sensitive item. If you try to attach the wrong equipment, you’ll need to use your warranty a lot sooner than you think.
A lot of cellular manufacturers are now including data kits as a part of their accessory offerings. I would go for a cell phone with Bluetooth technology. This allows the phone to interface with other electronic equipment such as Blackberrys and PCs. You can download data, upload data or customize your phone from your PC and have it done in real time.
There are car chargers, desktop chargers, sports pouches, faceplates, masks, data cables and belt clips. The list varies by manufacturer, but only your needs and budget can guide you through the long list of cell phone accessories that are available online.

How Does The Sleeve Gastrectomy Work?
Monday, April 30th, 2007 by wwwThe vertical sleeve gastrectomy is a restrictive form of weight loss surgery in which approximately 85% of the stomach is removed leaving a cylindrical or sleeve shaped stomach with a capacity ranging from about 60 to 150 cc, depending upon the surgeon performing the procedure. Unlike many other forms of stapling of the stomach surgery, the outlet valve and the nerves to the stomach remain intact and, while the stomach is drastically reduced in size, its function is preserved. Again, unlike other forms of surgery such as the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, the vertical sleeve gastrectomy is not reversible.
Because the new stomach continues to function normally there are far fewer restrictions on the foods which patients can consume after surgery, albeit that the quantity of food eaten will be considerably reduced. This is seen by many patients as being one of the great advantages of the vertical gastrectomy, as is the fact that the removal of the majority of the stomach also results in the virtual elimination of hormones produced within the stomach which stimulate hunger.
Perhaps the greatest advantage of the vertical sleeve gastrectomy lies in the fact that it does not involve any bypass of the intestinal tract and patients do not therefore suffer the complications of intestinal bypass such as intestinal obstruction, anemia, osteoporosis, vitamin deficiency and protein deficiency. It also makes it a suitable form of surgery for patients who are already suffering from anemia, Crohn’s disease and a variety of other conditions that would place them at high risk for surgery involving intestinal bypass.
Finally, it is one of the few forms of weight loss surgery which can be performed laparoscopically in patients who are extremely overweight.
Perhaps the main disadvantage of the vertical sleeve gastrectomy is that it does not always produce the weight loss which people would wish for and, in the longer term, can result in weight regain. This is indeed true of any form of purely restrictive weight loss surgery, but is perhaps especially true in the case of the vertical gastrectomy.
Because the procedure requires stapling of the stomach patients do run the risk of leakage and of other complications directly related to stomach stapling. In addition, as with any surgery, patients run the risk of additional complications such as post-operative bleeding, small bowel obstruction, pneumonia and even death. The risk of encountering any of these complications is however extremely small and varies from about 0.5 and 1%. Having said this, the risk of death from this form of surgery at about 0.25% is extremely small.
As a general rule the vertical sleeve gastrectomy is best suited to individuals who are either extremely overweight or whose medical condition would rule out other forms of weight loss surgery. In the case of the former the vertical sleeve gastrectomy would normally form the first of a two-part plan of weight loss, with further bariatric surgery being performed once the patient’s weight has fallen sufficiently to allow for other forms of weight loss surgery to come in to play.

Fashion Design Software
Monday, April 30th, 2007 by wwwComputer Aided Design is used at various stages in the apparel and textile industry. The fashion design CAD/CAM software can be broadly classified into following categories, each relating to a different design and manufacturing stage.
Categories and manufacturing stages are:
Designing/Range Planning - before the start of any fashion season, all apparel manufacturers plan the range of garments which they are setting up to manufacture. Most of the designing and range planning is still done by the buyer or the owners of the brand because they are closest to their actual clients; it is easier for them to understand the specific needs of their target market. To some extent, this has now changed with more and more manufacturers allowing vendors to dabble a bit in fashion design, based on their specific inputs in terms of colors, yarns, fabrics, prints, silhouettes etc.
Prototyping/ Sampling - once the designs have been finalized, a prototype or sample has to be made, because the scalability of the end product (garment) very much depends on the fit of the garment.
In a study conducted by an independent research agency, which monitored and observed the reasons of dissatisfaction or returns of garments sold - fitting problems topped the dissatisfaction list.
Considering the importance of a good fit, it becomes imperative for a manufacturer or retailer to achieve the best fits possible. Considering the complexity involved with different fabrics and silhouettes, a CAD system takes away much of the pain from prototyping thus decreasing the time to market.
Mass Production - comes with its own challenges. Unlike most other products, apparel manufacturing, even today very much depends on people - especially when it comes to tailoring or assembling. A mistake anywhere down the line in the prototyping or cutting process becomes very difficult and often impossible to rectify. This is where a CAD system comes in, to deskill some of the processes involved in mass manufacturing, namely the pre-production processes so that perfectly cut parts are fed to the operators. Additionally, the fabric saved in bulk cutting while using a CAD system is enormous.
Retailing - A 3D solution allows 3D files to be uploaded on to website for clients to choose from. 3D files can be opened and viewed in any MS office application or Internet explorer.

How To Create A Resume : Knowing What To Do To Get That Job
Sunday, April 29th, 2007 by wwwKnowing is to get the formatting worked out. First impressions are important at an interview but even more important when it comes to getting you the interview in the first thing. Learning how to create a curriculum vitae that is well laid out is a common problem amongst job-seekers and is the reason why many don’t progress any further. There is a standard layout for curriculum vitae and it usually only takes a little planning and creativity to fit even the most challenging situations into that layout. The importance of a clear and consistent layout is best viewed from the perspective of a hiring agent. Imagine that you are the hiring agent and must sift through a range of curriculum vitaes that have fancy layouts or unreadable fonts or that go on and on. One of the secrets of how to build a curriculum vitae is to make sure you keep it to one page, only use black ink in an 11 or 12 sized Times New Roman font. Include only the last ten years of work history. Avoid colored paper, personal information like your birthday, and highlighting or using italics, unless it is in a header.
The objective that you state at the top of your curriculum vitae is the second factor and should never be overlooked. It needs to be brief, specific, and there should be a distinct relation between the objective and the demonstrated abilities that you list in your work history. Your objective states clearly what you want. Most people have a fear around making a targeted statement about what they want. But, the objective isn’t set in stone - it can change according to each job for which you are submitting your curriculum vitae. When a hiring agent is reviewing curriculum vitaes, the ones with a well-prepared objective at the top will get the most immediate attention. It show’s that you are following format and let’s them know right up front what you want. It is a qualifying factor and helps the hiring agent determine your candidacy. If your curriculum vitae makes the short pile of most likely candidates, your objective could actually be the deciding factor.
If you want to create a much more interesting job possibility for yourself, writing the ideal curriculum vitae is your best bet. While there are other details that will pump up the “wow” response on your curriculum vitae, the key factors listed here will get you well ahead of the game. If you run into roadblocks, don’t hesitate to seek professional advice. That advice could be just the advantage you need to ensure your ultimate success.

Whats The Right Carpet Cleaner For You
Sunday, April 29th, 2007 by wwwWhile the old cliche suggests that the more things change, the more they stay the same, its great to know that it doesn’t apply to carpet cleaning machines. Gone are the days of having to drag around an old dust blower, which just moved dirt from one spot to the other. Today, you can enjoy affordable professional home carpet cleaning just by choosing from a large selection of cleaning machines. The challenge of course, is what to look for, and that is what we’ll help you out with.
So which style works for you? How about the canister style or the upright version? Do you prefer the handheld models which are great for small areas and corners. Does size matter to you? Accessibility and the ability to move it around easily is often a very popular concern amongst shoppers.
Choosing Wisely
If you choose the correct carpet cleaner for your needs it only makes sense that you will be much better satisfied with your purchase. The most common carpet cleaning device is commonly known as the household vacuum cleaner. This device typically comes in either an upright or canister vacuum variety and clean by sucking up dirt and debris from your flooring. Next is the handheld vacuum, which is very popular for stairs though not so much for overall floor cleaning. These vacuums can provide a tremendous amount of back strain if not used correctly.
Another popular machine for home carpet cleaning is the cleaner/extractor. This is typically used by professional services and offers deep cleaning benefits. Utilizing a service like this is a great idea for spring cleaning and holiday cleaning around the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays.
Steam cleaners are yet another popular type of carpet cleaning machines. These machines allow home owners to have some of the deeper cleaning affects that professional carpet cleaners make use of without paying the professional carpet cleaning price. You can also use these handy machines in order to clean sofas and other upholstered furniture.
Professional quality steamers/extractors aren’t necessarily a wise investment for very small homes or apartments as it may be difficult to recover your investment. For small homes it is much more economical to use the services of a professional rather than paying the price for one of these costly machines.
Do invest in a high quality vacuum cleaner for day to day and weekly floor cleaning. The better the quality more frequent the use of this unit the less often you will need the more expensive services mentioned above. A good vacuum will also help keep dust and other particles in the air at a minimum promoting a much healthier home environment.

Can Renting A Wheelchair Save You Money?
Sunday, April 29th, 2007 by wwwOccasionally there is a short-term need for a wheel chair and they can be costly to purchase, even one that is used. This is when the option of wheel chair rental can come in handy. Being able to rent a wheel chair for a short time, many times the cost of which is covered by insurance, can help when recovering from an accident or illness.
Another advantage of a wheel chair rental is that if something goes wrong with the wheel chair you’re renting, it will be replaced at no extra cost with one that works. The medical supply company you’re working with should be very understanding if you need your unit replaced for whatever reason. There are several models to choose from, which is a great benefit for those who may be confined to a wheel chair for an extended period of time.
It would be a rare occasion when a wheel chair rental would not be received in clean, working order and usually a simple phone call will get it replaced immediately, but most reputable equipment companies will not let that happen.
Keep Track Of Rates And Accessories
If you’re renting a wheel chair, you should also be able to rent other things you need temporarily, such as carrying totes or arms totes. Some companies will supply them free of additional charge as a perk to customers. Other companies may charge extra for their use, and you should check this out before you read from a particular company, depending on what your insurance will cover.
Another benefit of wheelchair rental is there is usually no charge for pick up or delivery. You call and arrange for its delivery and at the end of the rental period, they will return and pick it up. You would also have the option to extend the rental period if needed.
There are many types of wheelchair rental units available with manual types as well as the powered wheel chairs, and some companies are willing to rent you a power wheel chair for you to try in hopes that you will decide to buy one. Being able to use a power chair, even on a temporary basis, can help the user see the benefits of not depending on the manual type for mobility.
Of course, “try before you buy,” or in this case, rent. You’ll need to see if the chair you chose fits through all spaces in your house and allows you to maneuver well. The rental company will likely have ideas for you if the one you chose does not fit, and they can bring you back one that does better.

Bathtub Resurfacing: Doing It Yourself
Saturday, April 28th, 2007 by wwwBathtubs are one of the most used parts of the house. Because of this, bathtubs may look old after long years of using it and you may need to replace it for a better looking one and one with a color that can match the paint in your bathroom. However, purchasing a new bathtub and getting it installed in your home can prove to be very costly. For a more cost effective solution, you can consider resurfacing your bathtub yourself instead of purchasing a new one. By resurfacing it, you will be able to save hundreds of dollars for a bathtub.
Its surprisingly easy to do. With a little bit of patience, and taking some time to make the necessary preparations, you will have your old bathtub looking new once again. Here are preparations you’ll need to take before you begin and a step by step process to help you resurface your bath tub to its old brilliance.
Safety first. Remember, you will be working with various types of chemicals. The chemicals involved with resurfacing a bathtub can be very harmful to you. Its key to remember that you should protect yourself in order for you to avoid injuries from inhalation. Keeping a well ventilated workspace is a key consideration since the fumes from these chemicals are toxic. Exposure to these may cause skin and eye irritation. Not a fun experience. Wear protective clothing that covers all parts of your body, and of course, wear goggles. Protect your eyes: you only have 2 of them for life.
Now that you are well-protected, the next step is by giving your bath tub a preliminary cleaning. It is important that you should remove the gaskets as well as any caulking that are loose. There are bathtub refinishing kits that include several chemicals that you need for effectively cleaning and refinishing your bath tub.
As a cleaning solution, the first two chemicals will effectively remove soaps and oils from the bath tub surface. Also, they will get your bathtub ready for the primer. Using sandpaper with 220 - 240 grit, thoroughly scrub the bath tub surface. Once you have finished scrubbing the bathtub, your next step will be to rinse away the residue with water. Let your bathtub dry out thoroughly to prepare it for the second cleaning solution.
Your next step is to use the second chemical as a cleaning solution to remove any soap and oil residue. Rinse it again thoroughly with water, and using an old towel or paper towels, dry your bathtub.
After this, you will now apply the next solution, which is that primer reducer. This particular solution will prepare the bath tub for applying the primer. To apply the primer reducer, you will need to carefully apply it using paper towels. You will see that there will be damages to the bathtub and will be quite obvious after applying the primer reducer. You have to repair the tub surface as well as the drain area. To do this, you can apply some putty. It is important to let the putty dry for about 30 to 45 minutes. The repaired areas will usually have rough areas. To fix this, you should use fine sandpaper. After repairing and smoothing out the bath tubsurface, the next step is to apply the primer reducer again.
You’re almost ready for the resurfacing stage. However, you’ll need to apply paper and tape to the areas that you don’t need to resurface. This will protect those areas from being damaged by the chemicals you are using.
Now you are ready to apply the base coat. A handy tip is to use a respirator to protect your lungs from the fumes of the base coat. The fumes that are emitted are toxic, so be safe. Following the manufacturer’s instructions to mix the primers components exactly as directed, use a spray gun to apply an even finish.
After about 30 minutes you can now apply the top coat. You also need to use the spray gun properly by applying it with even strokes in order to have a great looking finish.
As you can see, bathtub resurfacing can be quite simple. It is a cost effective solution than purchasing a new bathtub. By resurfacing your bathtub, you will be able to have a brand new looking bathtub at a very affordable cost.

Luxury Bath Towels
Saturday, April 28th, 2007 by wwwBathroom Towels
I always bought the cheap bath towels I found in my local department store. I’m not sure why, though I assume it was just a matter of economics and practicality. That’s me. I’m always practical. As I get older however, I begin to think there is something to pushing aside being practical once in a while and buying something that I normally wouldn’t.
